Does Wesley treat upper extremity injuries only?
No. Because Wesley works with elite athletes, by necessity, he has to excel in treating all areas of the body. Since movement dysfunctions in other areas of the body (eg. foot of a rock climber) can often negatively impact an athlete’s upper extremity function, Wesley needs to be able to properly assess and treat these peripheral issues.
Does Wesley only treat elite athletes?
No. What makes physiotherapy fun is the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, with different physical abilities, hobbies, interests, and life experiences.
In which sports has Wesley worked with elite athletes?
Hockey, Baseball, Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, Rock Climbing, Running, Soccer, Skating, Badminton, Volleyball, Rowing.
What others sports does Wesley have physiotherapy experience in?
Tennis, Golf, Muay Thai (martial arts), basketball, skiing, snow-boarding.
What types of professional musicians has Wesley worked with?
Cellists, Violinists, Violists, Pianists, Percussionists/Drummers, Guitarists.
I’m a physiotherapy student. Do you provide physiotherapy mentorship?
Currently, No. But this might change in the future.
Is physiotherapy with Wesley covered under my private health insurance?
Yes, physiotherapy with Wesley is typically covered under your private health insurance, also known as extended health benefits. However, please note that it is your responsibility to check how much coverage you have as per the limits set out by your insurance policy. It is also your responsibility to track your benefits usage.
At the end of each appointment, a physiotherapy receipt will be provided. This receipt will contain all the necessary information for reimbursement by your insurance provider.
Do you offer direct billing?
Direct billing is offered at Push Pounds Sports Medicine. It is not offered at Physiogenetic Rehabilitation.
Is Physiotherapy with Wesley covered by OHIP?
No, neither Push Pounds Sports Medicine nor Physiogenetic Rehabilitation are government-funded OHIP clinics.
Do you provide Physiotherapy for Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) or Workplace Injury (WSIB)claims?
No, neither Push Pounds Sports Medicine nor Physiogenetic Rehabilitation are registered providers under the MVA regulatory body (FSRA) or WSIB.
